Amenities
There is a lot that we do not have at the camp; we have kept it simple and rustic as it has been for generations. We appreciate being able to disconnect and log out from the busyness of life. We love being bored on rainy days, scouring the book shelf or finding a puzzle. On sunny days, we want to be out on the water, in the lake, or hiking on the Squam Range. At night, we play ping pong, read, or gaze at the stars out at the fire pit.
At our camp, there is no WiFi, no TV, no dishwasher, and no laundry. We have only one shower, and it is outside, but it does have hot water. There is an indoor bathtub. There is no heat, but we do have a few space heaters for the chilly spring and fall New England evenings, and we have a fireplace in the living room that is a great gathering space for games, charades, or reading.
There are plenty of outdoor spots to relax and unwind: sip your morning coffee out on the point, do yoga on the eastern porch with sounds of loons calling, or enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the northern covered porch. The dock is the central spot for all hours of fun: launching myriad watercraft from the dock, jumping into the lake, watching boats go by, playing games, and enjoying the sunset views.
